Halloween

Aiden's first Halloween was a fun one! Our little Giraffe got to show off all his cuteness to a few neighbors and called it a night!

Getting Back in the Swing of Things

Unfortunately it has been awhile since our last post. With returning to work and Aiden starting at daycare, which he seems to love, we have hardly had a free moment. I think we are starting to finally settle in to our new routine and we can't believe how fast our little buddy is growing up. Over the last month, he has been enjoying his new highchair (thanks Uncle Matt and Aunt Kelly), eating all sorts of new foods, and just continues to get cuter and cuter. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the last month!

More Summer Memories

This week marks the last for me to enjoy solely with my little guy. With some trepidation I have to return to work on Friday and am enjoying the last few days hanging out with Aiden. Yesterday we visited Rose, his new daycare provider, and spent some time hanging out with her staff, the other children, and her two dogs, Daisy and Betty Sparkles!

As a last hurrah of summer Dirk, Aiden, and I spent last week Up North. Our friends Matt and Amy joined us for a couple days with their son Jeremy. Jeremy was born only a month before Aiden and we are looking forward to them becoming great friends!

Aiden is growing up so fast. This month he has really been flipping over, spending more time on his tummy, and even began eating rice cereal!

Summer Days at the Cottage

Luckily we were able to escape to the cottage for a week and enjoy Northern Michigan at its best! Aiden,Wilson, Dirk, and I enjoyed a wonderful week exploring, going to art fairs and home tours, hiking and just hanging out. Oh, and battling with a bee's nest (Dirk did win)! Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Bring on Summer!

Summer is officially in full swing and Aiden has been busier than ever! Aiden's first big event of the summer was celebrating Father's Day with Dirk up at the cottage. It was there that Dirk decided he needed to have his first dip in Lake Michigan! Soon he will be surfing with his Papa!

Aiden has also been out boating at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Visiting from California and Minnesota have been Aiden's Uncle Bob and Great Uncle Bob. While they are here in Michigan, Aiden has been able to spend some quality time with them, as well as his Aunt Ellen and cousins Kelsey and Serena! He took his first trip to the zoo and even got to feed the giraffes!

Dirk and I have had a lot of fun snapping pictures of our little one! Aiden has really begun to smile and "talk" to us lately. Here are a couple of the cutest pictures.

Memorial Day Weekend

We were able to spend almost a week in Glen Arbor at the cottage over Memorial Day. It was a wonderful time for Dirk and I to recharge as Aiden learned to sleep through the night! We were able to put Aiden in his carrier to go on walks into town, on the beach, and in the woods. Wilson enjoyed herself too!

Welcome Aiden!

In March 29th, 2009 Dirk and I welcomed Aiden Michael Dragt into our family! It turned out to be long day starting at 12:00 am when my water broke on a trip to the bathroom and ending at 6:49 pm with the C-section delivery of Aiden.
